How to Create an Account With Printiful & Install It
Hello everybody and welcome to another video inside the Ecomm Clubhouse. In this video, I’m going to show you how to add a different print on demand provider and that is Printful. It’s the primary print on demand supplier that I use here on the store that I am showing you right now.
The reason why I suggest Printify is because it’s much cheaper than Printful. However, if in the future you find that Printify just doesn’t meet your needs anymore. The main reason why Printify doesn’t meed my needs is because of the fact that while I got many suppliers that I work with, they don’t have one single supplier that sell all the different products that I sell in here. For example, this store sells crew neck tshirt and v-neck tshirt and customers will often mix and match. They’ll buy a v-neck tshirt and a crew neck tshirt and if I print that with Printify, I will have to use two different supplier for each of those tshirt and the customer will get them in separate packages. Whereas the fact that Printful print in-house, it means that when they create a v-neck tshirt for me and a crew neck tshirt for me, they get shipped in one single package.
So even though Printful is a lot more expensive than Printify, it’s personally what I use. For a lot of new stores out there, I would usually recommend Printify because it’s cost effective while they’re really good quality especially if they use a really good provider like Monster Digital. But if you already got a established store, and you’re looking for a print on demand provider that has a lot experience, then Printful is definitely one that you should consider. So I’m going to show you how you can add Prinftul and update the settings.
Start out by coming over to Apps, then click on Visit the Shopify App Store button. Then search for Printful.
Click on Printful then click on Add App button. Next click Install App button. Then fill out the form to create a Printfull acocunt. Once done, click on Sign Up button.
On the next page, you can put anything you like then once done, just click Finish and then click on Connect Store.
Next, click on Accept All button on the top. Then after that, click on Settings.
Then on the Settings menu on the side, click on Packing Slip. Upload your store’s logo and this will be printed on the packing slip and it’s really neat. Next, put your customer service email. Then click on Save.
You can click on the Preview button to see how the packing slip will look like. As you can see that it’s now customized for your store which makes it look professional and it add value to the package because it really looks like you sent it.
Now come up and click More and then Billing.
Now what we’re going to is to add a credit card or Paypal account to our store. So click on Billing Methods and then come and click on Add billing method. You’re going to choose if you’re going to add a credit card or Paypal account. Printify is going to charge your credit card or Paypal account each time a customer purchases an item from you. This is very important and this is not optional.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll see this on your billing method.
For example, a unisex tshirt that I’m selling cost $13 and I charge $30 for it plus shipping so what happens is the customer will pay me $30 and Printful will charge me $13. I don’t get the $30 immediately. What happens is Shopify payments will collect the $13 and it pays it back to me two days later. But in the meantime, Printful needs to be paid $13 to make the tshirt so what they do is that they it out of the credit card that I have on file here.
So go ahead and edit those settings and in the next video I will teach you how to easily add in a tshirt!
